Minneriya National Park is famous for its spectacular seasonal Elephant Gathering, when large herds gather around the Minneriya Reservoir during the dry season. The park’s open grasslands, wetlands and forest habitats also support deer, monkeys, crocodiles and an impressive variety of resident and migratory birds.
