Your Daily Path

Day 01 – Arrival in Colombo

Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport and transfer to your boutique retreat in Colombo. Discover the city’s colonial quarters, markets, hidden cafés and oceanfront promenade before enjoying sunset at Galle Face Green.

Day 02 – Colombo to Sigiriya

Travel inland through coconut plantations, rural villages and scenic countryside. Check in to Aliya Resort & Spa and enjoy an evening village walk around lakes and ancient irrigation reservoirs.

Day 03 – Sigiriya, Dambulla & Kandy

Climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress during the cooler morning hours before visiting the UNESCO-listed Dambulla Cave Temple. Continue through spice-growing regions to Kandy and settle into your hillside retreat.

Day 04 – Kandy Village & Cultural Encounters

Cycle through rural roads, paddy fields and traditional settlements before enjoying a hands-on Sri Lankan cooking experience in a village home. Spend the afternoon at leisure or visit the Royal Botanical Gardens.

Day 05 – Kandy to Ella by Scenic Train

Travel through the central highlands to Nanu Oya before boarding the iconic train to Ella. Journey through tea plantations, waterfalls, tunnels and dramatic mountain scenery before arriving at your luxury mountain retreat.

Day 06 – Horton Plains Adventure

Set out before dawn for Horton Plains National Park and trek through cloud forests and montane grasslands to World’s End and Baker’s Falls. Return to Ella for a relaxed afternoon or optional spa experience.

Day 07 – Ella to Yala

Enjoy a morning visit to Nine Arches Bridge before travelling towards Yala National Park. Settle into your safari lodge and enjoy an afternoon wildlife drive.

Day 08 – Full-Day Yala Wilderness

Spend a full day exploring Yala’s diverse habitats with an experienced naturalist. Search for leopards, elephants, sloth bears, crocodiles, jackals and abundant birdlife, with an optional wilderness sundowner.

Day 09 – Yala Wildlife Experience

Enjoy an optional early morning safari for photography and wildlife viewing. After a relaxed breakfast and time at the lodge, continue south towards the coast.

Day 10 – Yala to Mirissa

Continue along Sri Lanka’s scenic southern coastline to Mirissa. Relax at your boutique coastal hotel with optional surfing, beach walks, Coconut Tree Hill, or sunset yoga.

Day 11 – Mirissa to Galle

Enjoy an optional seasonal whale-watching excursion before continuing to historic Galle. Explore Galle Fort’s colonial streets, galleries, cafés and artisan boutiques before a sunset rampart walk and farewell dinner.

Day 12 – Galle to Departure

Enjoy a relaxed final morning in Galle Fort before your private transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport. Optional stops for local crafts and souvenirs can be arranged according to your flight schedule.
